100 Years Ago November 10, 1906 That bad weather cannot deter Christian Endeavourers was shown at Moreton-in-Marsh on Wednesday when they turned out in good numbers to their annual rally, despite a threatening sky. The proceedings were opened by a conference held in the Congregational Church on the subject of the "Ideal Christian Endeavour Prayer-meeting." When, shortly after three o'clock, the conference commenced there was a good number present. The Rev A Wakelin (Moreton) presideded and introduced the principal speaker, Mr F N Sharratt (Birmingham) who delivered an i interesting address. Tea in the Mann Institute was much enjoyed, and after the business meeting for delegates a public meeting was held in the chapel.  more...

The largest of the repairs needed was to the vestry roof. Estimates are being obtained and it is intended that a special appeal will be launched.
